Eleven Ventures Invests in Women’s Health Platform Vivian Lab

Women’s digital health startup, Vivian Lab, has successfully completed its first funding round, receiving backing from Eleven Ventures. With a founding team of women based in Munich, Athens, and London, Vivian Lab is revolutionising healthcare for women by offering a comprehensive platform designed to support various stages of life, including menopause, sexual wellness, fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum care.

Despite the fact that all women will experience menopause, the condition has been historically underserved, resulting in significant consequences. Women are often compelled to leave the workforce early due to a lack of adequate support, contributing to an estimated $150 billion economic gap for employers and insurance companies.

Menopause alone presents more than 30 symptoms, yet stigma and insufficient education often prevent women from recognising or addressing them. Additionally, many healthcare professionals misdiagnose menopause symptoms due to limited focus on the issue, leading to increased healthcare costs and inadequate care for women.

Vivian Lab's flagship product focuses on menopause management through a digital platform that offers educational resources, telehealth consultations, personalised treatment plans, community support, and AI-powered assistants. By providing accessible, holistic care, the platform empowers women to better navigate the menopause transition, addressing concerns such as sexual health, weight management, mental well-being, and fitness. Vivian Lab is among the few programs in Europe to focus on making women’s healthcare more accessible and personalised.

Vivian Lab has already secured partnerships with major enterprises, including pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and multinational organisations such as Bayer. The funding round, led by Eleven Ventures, was completed just six months after the platform’s launch, highlighting strong investor confidence in the company's vision.

Gina Tiriakidou, Founder and CEO of Vivian Lab, expressed her gratitude for the support:

“We are deeply thankful to Eleven Ventures for sharing our commitment to fundamentally transforming women’s healthcare. This funding is pivotal in expanding our offerings and reaching more women who need support. Eleven's strategic partnership, backed by their successful healthcare investment track record, will be invaluable in our growth journey.”

Valeri Petrov, Partner at Eleven Ventures, emphasised the importance of investing in women’s health:

“As an active investor in healthcare, we recognise the substantial gaps in female health support. We are proud to back this exceptional female-led team at Vivian Lab, whose mission aligns with our goal of making healthcare more personalised and accessible for women at every life stage.”

The newly acquired funds will be used to enhance Vivian Lab’s program, improve user experience, and expand into new markets, particularly in Germany and the DACH region.
